The Saint Mary Parish in Pian di Sco

The religious building was built during the Middle Ages on the highest part of the actual town, from which it dominates the valley below.

It is surrounded by an untouched green vegetation, rich of woods and covered by olive-trees and vineyards.

The building shows a Romanic style and a simply facade, on which blind archs and a window open. The parish is also equipped with a belfry tower.

The interior of the Saint Mary Parish has three aisles divided by columns, showing this latter finely decorated capitals, and three divided apses.

Along one of the internal walls a fine fresco was recently came to light. It was painted in the XV-th century by Paolo Schiavo (XIV-th - XV-th century) and portrays an "Our Lady with the Child".
