The Medieval village of Talla The territory of Talla extends among green hills, dense of characteristic villages, whose inside it is possible to admire the remains of numerous buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. Particularly suggestive is the Holiest Trinity Abbey, founded before year 1000 by some monks from Vallombrosa. Of the ancient religious building just few remains are saved, thanks to which it is possible to trace the characteristic features of the original building, among them the apse, the external walls and the bases of the front columns. Close to the town there the "Borghetto della Castellaccia" (a medieval village) where it is possible to visit a characteristic church dating back to the XI-th century and, according to the tradition, the house of Guido Monaco (990-1050), who invented the actual musical annotation system.
