The Saints Sebastian and Rocco Oratory in Barberino di Mugello


The Saints Sebastian and Rocco Oratory is part of the eighteenth-century Saint Sylvester Parish that is rich of valuable architectural and decorative elements.


During the XVIII-th century the Oratory was restored: different decorative elements and interior decorations were added to the building, like some stalls with carved patterns by Antonio Galletti placed along the walls.

Close to the main altar it is possible to admire a painting portraying the "Saint Thomas' Incredulity" placed between tow plates, one of them portrays "Saint Rocco", was painted by T. J. Behr, whereas the other one, dating back to the XVI-th century, portrays "Saint Sebastian" and comes from some Florentine workshop.
