The Saint Niccolò Church in Calenzano

The Saint Niccolò Church was built during the Roman Age on the highest area of the hilly area and it was rebuilt during the fourteenth century after its destruction caused by Castruccio Castracani.

The same occurred to the fine fourteenth-century belfry.

The interiors of the church are embellished by several frescoes painted by Nardo di Cione (?-1365) portraying the "Saint Sebastiano's Martyrdom", placed on the right wall and a "Nativity and some Saints" on the bottom of the church.
