The Saint Mary Parish in Chianni in Gambassi Terme The Saint Mary Parish in Chianni was built in Romanic and Pisan styles at the end of the XII-th century, as showed by its facade equipped with three order of arches and blind galleries. The interior shows a basilican plant with three aisles divided by columns, equipped this latter with fine capitals decorated with floral and anthropomorphous patterns, and a wooden ceiling with trusses.

On the second capitals it is possible to read an inscription probably quoting the name of the artist "Joh(annes) Bundivulus" who made the stone-made decorations on the capitals. Very interesting are also the fine earth-made decorations of the choir, made in the XVI-th century by local artists like Cagni di Gambassi, and the earth-made washbasin placed inside the sacristy.
