The Saint Martin Parish in Sesto Fiorentino The Saint Martin Parish was built before 1000, as it is possible to read in a document that is antecedent to that date and later was restored and modified during the second half of the twentieth century. The facade of the parish is preceded by a fine seventeeth-century porch that shows on its portals some ensigns of the Venturi family who had in 1427 several properties in Sesto Fiorentino. The interior of the parish shows three Roman aisles. L'interno della pieve è a tre navate di stampo romanico.

The interiors are embellished by fine stuccoes and frescoes, as that one painted by Niccolò Lapi (1661-1732) portraying the Assumption and an Our Lady with the Child, made of polychrome plaster, placed on the altar. On the left side of the apse it is portrayed "Our Lady of the Milk" painted during the second half of thirteenth century. Inside the sacristy it is possible to see a stone-made tabernacle dating back to 1388. Inside the Saint Martin Parish are also saved some valuable paints by different artists as that one by Jacopo Vignali (1592-1664) portraying the Circumcision, the other ones by Cenni Francesco portraying the Whitsun and the Our Lady's Death and finally the paint by Santi di Tito (1536-1603) portraying the Four Saints.
