The Saint John Baptist Church in Castiglione della Pescaia The Saint Giovanni Baptist Church was built around 1000 close to the northern walls of the town. The entrance shows two stone-made archs and a Medieval bass-relief with symbolic pictures, used as a lintel. Inside the church it is possible to admire two Baroque altars, placed on the two sides of the presbitery, portraying Saint Petronilla and Saint Guglielmo who praying Our Lady with the Child so that protect Castiglione della Pescaia.

On the first years of the twenteeth-century the cell bell, that is still visible, was built on one of the towers rising on the walls by the architect Lorenzo Porciatti. The belfry saved the Saint Guglielmo's reliquary, protector of the town, and is made by some silvery leaves.
