Tourism in Bagni di Lucca

The Thermal Baths of Bagni di Lucca

Since ancient times the Thermal Baths were known and praised by numerous poets and medicians, like Gentile Gentili from Foligno (half of XIV-th century - 1416) and Ugolino from Montecatini (1348-1425).

The Thermal Baths of Bagni di Lucca consists of fifty-three springs of beneficial and regenerating waters, rich of sulphur, bicarbonate and calcium. The spring temperature ranks from 37°C to 54°C.

The Thermal Baths are seven but just the "Jean Varraud" bath is still working today. Among the other ones we remind here the "Saint John Bath", the "Cardinali Bath", the "Bernabò Bath", the "Red Bath", the "Demidoff Bath" and the "Bath in the Villa".

Very interesting are also the Big Cave and the Paolina Cave, whose inside beauty and relaxing treatments are practised, thanks to the natural steams that come from the caves.
