The Medieval village of Giuncugnano The village of Giuncugnano rises in the green belt of a rich wooded vegetation of ilex-trees, chestnut-tress, beech-trees that offers to its visitors the opportunity to take a trip and enjoy the untouched nature and the peace and quiet of the place. Once arrived to the very heart of the village of Giuncugnano it is possible to see the characteristic marks of its Medieval buildings, like the ancient rural houses that rise along narrow stone-made paths. The religious buildings are also interesting to visit: the Church of Magliano, that saves the relics of the Martyr Saints Emiliano and Giusto, and the Sanctuary of the Argegna, built during the XIX-th century, where the ihnabitants go to worship the Our Lady of the Guard, that is considered the Protectress of the Garfagnana and Lunigiana areas.
