The Medieval village of Molazzana In the territory of Molazzana are still visible today some typical examples of fortified buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. In the highest part of the town rises the Castle, whose building shows a quite good state of preservation, also thanks to the numerous restoration works executed along the centuries. The Castle is surrounded by the remains of its ancient ring of walls, equipped with a high tower that opens to the locality of Eglio. Inside the fortifications rises the village of Sassi, where it is possible to visit the Pre Romanic Saint Frediano Church. Entered to the oldest part of Molazzana it is also possible to reach the Saint Lorenz and Stephen Church, whose inside saves a fine Della Robbia's earthenware dating back to the XV-th century and portraying an "Our Lady with the Child".
