The Medieval village of Tresana

The village of Tresana rises on a hilly position, among the green of the rich vegetation surrounding it, where it is possible to see the remains of some Medieval buildings: among them the Giovagallo's Castle distinguishes.

According to a legend, inside the above-mentioned castle the famous poet Dante Alighieri would have met the wife of Morello Malaspina, who would have convinced the poet to complete his Divine Comedy.

In the very heart of the historical centre of Tresana rises the Parish Church, to whose inside it is possible to admire fine art works, among them a silver embossed and carved cross distinguishes, made by Francesco Marti.
