The Saint John Baptist Parish Church in Calcinaia The Saint John Baptist Parish Church was built during the Middle Ages and then restored in the next centuries. The actual bulding is an eighteenth-century rebuilding. The interior of the church has just an aisle: close to the apse there are three chapels and one of them saves the relics of Saint Ubaldesca, who is the Patroness Saint of the town. On the internal portal it is possible to admire some wall decorations made by Enrico Fornaini (1944), portraying the "Patroness Saint".
Very interesting is also a wooden sculpture dating back to the XV-th century, portraying a "Sorrowful Maddalena". The Saint John Baptist Parish Church saves also two statues made by Andrea della Robbia (1435-1525), portraying two angels.
