The Saints Quirico and Giuditta Collegiate Church in San Quirico d'Orcia

The Saints Quirico and Giuditta Collegiate Church was built on the place of a pre-existing parish. Later the building was restored according to its ancient Romanic features.

On the facade of the Collegiate Church it is possible to admire a fine portal showing some decorations that is preceded by a porch surmounted by an arch, held this latter by two statue portraying two lionesses.

Along the right side opens another portal, preceded by a porch too.

The interior of the Saints Quirico and Giuditta Collegiate Church shows the plant of a Latin cross, with three apses and a ceiling roof showing its beams.

The Collegiate Church saves fine art works, among them distinguish a triptych painted by Sano di Pietro (1406-1481) portraying an "Our Lady with the Child on the Throne and four Saints" and a wooden choir carved and decorated by Antonio Barili.
