The Saint Lorenz Parish in Borgo San Lorenzo The Saint Lorenz Parish was built during X century and rebuilt in 1263. The belfry, built in that same period earthenware, is characterized by its irregular shape. The facade was reconstructed at the beginning of the twentieth century after the damages caused by an earthquake occurred on 1919. The interior of the Saint Lorenz Parish shows three aisles divided by columns and pillars, and it saves valuable art works, testifying its importance in the past, as a plate by Giotto (1264-1337) portraying Our Lady. On the main altar it is possible to admire a cross painted in the last fourteenth century.
