The Holy Art Museum of Pelago

The Holy Art Museum is hosted inside the Saint Clement Church, being this latter placed in the oldest part of the town.

The interior of the Saint Clement Church is rich of fine art work. Among them stands out the fifteenth-century triptych painted by the Master of Montefoscoli, portraying an "Our Lady with the Child and Saints".

The museum hosts a collection of objects and holy painted interior decorations, portraying Biblical pictures, coming from the religious buildings of the surroundings.

Very interesting is the collection of frescoes that are admirable on the internal facade, along the walls and on the altars. Among them a "Virgin Mary's Visitation" by Ulisse Giocchi (1570-1631), a "Miracle of Saint Anthony from Padua" by Mattias Bolognini and an "Our Lady with the Child and Saint John", coming this latter from Jacopo del Conte's workshop (1510-1598).

Among the numerous art works placed inside the church, very valuable is a polychrome wooden Crucifix dating back to the XVI-th century.
