The Our Immaculate Lady Church in Rinignano sull'Arno

The Our Immaculate Lady Church was built in the middle of the XX-th century on a design of the architect Raffaello Franci, who wanted to reproduce the typical Renaissance features.

The interior of the church is on the plant of a Latin cross, with three aisles surmounted by arches standing on stone-made columns.

The interior is rich of fine art works, some of them coming from the Romanic Saint Leonino Parish.

Our Lady's Assumption

Along the side aisles there are two chapels, where it is possible to admire a stone-made tabernacle and a polychrome earth-made bass-relief portraying the "Our Lady's Nativity", both of them dating back to the XVI-XVII-th century and some fine XVI-th century paintings portraying "Saint Rocco", an "Our Lady's Assumption, Saint Lorenz and the Pope Sisto" painted by Matteo Confortini, a "Saint Elizabeth from Unger and Saint Rocco", dating back to the XVII-th century, and an "Our Lady's Educations with Saint Anna and Saint Joseph", dating back to the XVIII-th century, both of them come from the Florentine school.

Very valuable is also a baptismal font dating back to the XVI-th century placed at the bottom of the left aisle, made jointly by Benedetto Buglioni (1459-1521) and Santi Buglioni (1494-1576).
