The Medieval village of Borgo a Mozzano The town of Borgo a Mozzano is dominated by a Medieval tower, placed on the highest point of the village, called "Tower of the Bargiglio mount". The territory of Borgo a Mozzano is rich of fortified buildings typical of the Middle Age that save sill today the characteristic features of their original buildings. Among them distinguishes a quadrangular fortress dominating the valley of the Serchi river, equipped with its ancient walls. The most suggestive monuments of Borgo a Mozzano is probably the "Ponte della Maddalena" (Magdalene's Bridge), also known as "Evil's Bridge".

The first bridge name comes from the name of a oratory close to which it was built in order to join the two river banks. Very interesting is also the Saint Jacopo Parish, whose inside it is possible to admire fine sculptures dating back to the XV-th and XVI-th centuries like a wooden tabernacle dating back to the XVI-th century, a wooden statue portraying "Saint Bernardino from Siena", made by Matteo Civitali (1240-1302), and a glazed earthenware by Benedetto Buglioni (1459-1521) portraying an "Annunciation".
