Tourism in Coreglia Antelminelli

The Medieval village of Coreglia Antelminelli

The village of Coreglia Antelminelli rises among woods and vineyards, saving its untouched buildings dating back to the Middle Ages.

Of its ancient Medieval fortifications it is still possible to see the ancient fortress built by the Rolandinghi, today used as bell tower of the Saint Michael Parish.

This latter shows on its facade a statue portraying "Saint Michael", made by Matteo Civitali (1436-1502) and inside numerous fine fourteenth-century frescoes like an "Annunciation" by a Pisan artist, and a carved processional cross.

Very interesting to visit is also the Vanni Palace, whose inside it is located the "Civic Museum of the plaster-made Figurines and of the Emigration". The museum hosts a collection of picture cards coming from different countries of the world because it was enriched of models belonged to some emigrants.
