The Cathedral of Seravezza The Cathedral, entitled to the Saint Lorenz and Barbara, was built in 1422 on a pre-existing religious building, as testified by a Gothic inscription placed inside its belfry. The interiors of the Cathedral are made precious by numerous art works like a Cross in capitular style, called "Gold Cross of the Pollaiolo", that was made by the goldsmith Francesco Marti (1458-1542). Remarkable is also the marble-made baptismal font sculpted by Stagio Stagi (1496-1563), showing fine bass-relieves.
Photo Wikipedia The main alta was made in policrome marble and later was restored by Jacopo Benti. Inside the Cathedral is also placed the "Our Lady of the Aid Chapel" built in Baroque style.
