The Medieval village of Vagli Sotto The village of Vagli Sotto is perched on a hillock, showing its untouched structure and the original features of its Medieval buildings. It is possible to enter to the oldest part of the village just by foot: the walk along narrow paths, along which rural houses rise, make an intense Medieval atmosphere revive. Particularly interesting to visit are the Saint Augustine Church, built around year 1000 and the Saint Regolo Church, built between the XII-th and XIII-th century and still saving today the typical marks of its original buildins. The facade of the Saint Regolo Church, in Roman and Gothic styles, is decorated with a fine rose-window and on it one of the two marble-made portals allowing the access to the religious building opens. Inside the church it is also possible to admire a fifteenth-century font, place at the entrance, and a fine wooden statue, placed in the second altar along the left side.
