The Medieval village of Villa Collemandina The territory of Villa Collemandina rises in a panoramic position, saving some untouched interesting villages and characteristic Medieval little villages. In the close locality of Sassorosso it is possible to admire the characteristic rural houses saving the typical marks of their original building, built this latter with the particular and typical pink marble of the same town. In the very heart of the historic centre of Villa Collemandina rises the Romanic Saint Sisto Church, that was entirely rebuilt after a violent earthquake occurred on 1920. Inside the religious building it is possible to admire two fine marble-made altars and a wooden altarpiece consisting of three statues, made by Matteo Civitali (1436-1502).
