Tourism in Lorenzana

The Medieval village of Lorenzana

The village of Lorenzana rises in the green belt of the rich wooded vegetation surrounding it. It still saves today the marks of the typical Medieval hilly village.

In the very heart of the historic centre rise the ancient Saints Bartholomew and Christopher Church, whose building goes back to the XIII-th century. Close to the religious building there is also the Lorenzi's Palace that once was a Podestà's seat and then it was modified and transformed into a residential house.

Close to the urban centre there are numerous farm-villas, built during the Grand Ducal period. They are equipped with Italian gardens, cultivated and pasture lands. Among them we remind the Sforni Villa, being this latter equipped with a little Romanic Church.
