The Saint Martin Collegiate Church in Sinalunga

The building of the Saint Martin Collegiate Church goes back to 1587 and it occurred following a joint design of the architects Simone and Bernardino Ferri.

The Collegiate Church rises on the top of a large staircase, from where it imposed itself on the Piazza Garibaldi (Garibaldi Square).

The interior of the Collegiate Church was built on the plant of a Latin cross and it has just an aisle.

Inside it is possible to admire a wooden crucifix, dating back to the XVI-th century, placed on the third altar on the right.

On the altar of the right transept is placed a painting by Girolamo del Pacchia portraying the "Deposition".

On the right wall of the main altar is place a plate painted in 1509 by Benvenuto di Giovanni, portraying "Our Lady with the Child, two Saints and two Angels".

In the left transept there is a painting portraying "Our Lady with the Child and Saints".
